I live and work in New York and was able to complete Chaminade’s MED program entirely online in less than three years as a part time student. Being able to schedule my classes in a manner that allowed me to balance my work commitments and my studies was very important to me. It was a wonderful experience to engage with peers from diverse settings, and to communicate on a regular basis with my professors and fellow students from almost 5,000 miles away. I personally benefited greatly from being in classes with peers who taught diverse populations of various grade levels in both public and private settings. The program fosters an open exchange of ideas and creates an environment where educators learn from each other. Chaminade’s MED program challenges students academically, and gives them the tools and knowledge to help them succeed, both in their studies, and in their own classrooms.Ann Simmons, MED ‘14
