About the Program
The Master of Education (M.Ed.) Program is specifically designed for working educators who wish to further their training and enhance their practical expertise. This program combines the latest in educational theory and research with practical, hands-on experience. Additionally, students interested in alternative or progressive education methods can earn a Montessori Certification in Early Childhood Education.
The Master of Education provides enriched learning experiences for educational professionals who already have a bachelor’s degree and who want to extend their knowledge and professional qualifications in the field of education. Candidates in M.Ed. programs are expected to be able to draw upon their bachelor’s degree and life experience while acquiring advanced professional knowledge and skills.
An advanced leadership program designed to prepare candidates for positions in educational administration.
Developed for teachers seeking formal or informal non-administrative leadership roles that support teaching and learning such as resource teachers, instructional specialists, curriculum specialists, learning facilitators, mentors, data coaches, and grade-level or department chairs.
For teachers and educational practitioners interested in advanced knowledge regarding leadership and classroom practice, though currently are not aspiring to become principals or administrators.
Prepares candidates for a wide range of professional objectives by offering an advanced study of developmental theory, research, and application.
For students who have a Montessori credential from a free-standing MACTE accredited institution and want to continue learning within the Montessori context.

I live and work in New York and was able to complete Chaminade’s MED program entirely online in less than three years as a part time student. Being able to schedule my classes in a manner that allowed me to balance my work commitments and my studies was very important to me. It was a wonderful experience to engage with peers from diverse settings, and to communicate on a regular basis with my professors and fellow students from almost 5,000 miles away.
